Will the Rail Huggy fit my specific bed rail?
The Rail Huggy is designed to fit standard folding bed rails measuring:
- 110cm x 45-50cm
- 120cm x 45-50cm
Safety depends on a snug fit, we recommend measuring your rail before purchase. If your rail has a unique curve or extra-thick frame. We will be adding to our 'compatible sizes all the time so continue to check back here!

Is it safe for my child to sleep against?
Yes. We have designed the Rail Huggy using breathable natural cotton (and cotton/bamboo blend) and a slimline quilted fill to maintain airflow. It is intended for children aged 2+ who can easily move and reposition themselves during sleep.
Does the cover make the rail harder to fold down?
Not at all! We’ve placed our closures strategically so that you can still access the folding mechanism on most major brands without removing the Rail Huggy.
How often should I wash it?
We recommend washing your Rail Huggy whenever you change the bed linens. Frequent washing helps maintain the tension of the cotton fibres, ensuring that "hugging" fit remains tight over time.
My rail is slightly smaller than the cover; can I still use it?
For safety reasons, no. If the cover is loose or can be easily pulled away from the mesh, it creates an entrapment hazard. The cover must be taut. You can try washing and low-heat drying to see if the natural cotton fibers tighten, but never use a loose cover.
Can I use this on a baby’s cot?
No. Rail Huggy is strictly for use on toddler/single bed safety rails for children aged 2 and up. It is not a cot bumper and should never be used in a crib or cot.
